With so many options from solid wood, polystyrene and mdf frames - we often get asked if Metal Frames are now out of favor with many people.  The answer is a solid no - but they do have areas where they specifically shine.

One such area is in exhibitions, shows and markets.   The reason is simple.  Most metal frames present a slim line of frame around the artwork are are less likely to "outshine" the photos or art in the sense that they do not overpower with their size or finish.

As a result, they are less likely to influence a buyer against a purchase based on their particular like or dislike of a certain frame style or color.

A second good reason is that they are easily assembled with components of the artist or photographers choice so they can also be easy to "swap out" work if a change is needed and once again, their neutrality means they will suit a wider range of work than many other frame types.
